Following the conclusion of the 2025 Sao Paulo Grand Prix, Lando Norris remains firmly in command of the F1 drivers' championship, enjoying a 24-point advantage over his McLaren teammate, Oscar Piastri.
Norris clinched his seventh victory of the season with a dominant performance that showcased his skill and determination. "Winning in Brazil was a remarkable feeling," said Norris.
Piastri faced a challenging weekend, which left him unable to capitalize on his position. This gap between the two teammates is indicative of Norris's stellar form, as he now sets his sights on securing the title with just three races and one sprint remaining on the calendar.
Max Verstappen, despite starting from the pit lane, mounted an impressive recovery to finish third in the race. However, the Oracle Red Bull Racing driver finds himself significantly trailing Norris, sitting 49 points behind. "It was a tough day for us, but finishing in the top three is a positive despite the setback," Verstappen remarked.
The standings also reveal Kimi Antonelli's rise, as he moved closer to Lewis Hamilton in the battle for sixth place. Antonelli achieved his career-best finish by taking second in this race, a performance that brought accolades from his team. "This result gives us great momentum moving forward," commented Antonelli.
In the updated standings, Norris leads with 390 points, followed by Piastri at 366, and Verstappen with 341:

On the constructors' side, McLaren solidified their dominance by clinching the 2025 F1 constructors' title early. As attention turns to the second spot, Mercedes outperformed their competitors in Brazil, distancing themselves from Red Bull and Ferrari.
Ferrari faced a particularly difficult race, with both cars failing to finish. Charles Leclerc's retirement came after he collided with Antonelli following a Safety Car restart, while Hamilton suffered damage from a collision with Franco Colapinto. "The race didn’t go as planned for us. We need to regroup and aim to bounce back in the next race," said Leclerc.
The current constructors' standings highlight McLaren's success, leading with 756 points, while Mercedes sits in second at 398 points. The competition remains fierce, particularly among the midfield teams, as Racing Bulls, Aston Martin, Haas, and Sauber are all separated by a mere 20 points:
