Updated 2026 F1 standings after Miami GP post-race penalties

Andrea Kimi Antonelli’s Miami win makes him the first driver to reach 100 points and extends his lead over George Russell to 20. Post-race penalties dropped Charles Leclerc to P8, promoting Lewis Hamilton and Franco Colapinto and nudging Alpine past its 2025 points total.

Post-race penalties reshuffled the final classification and updated both championships after the Miami Grand Prix, the fourth round of the 22-weekend 2026 Formula 1 season at the Miami International Autodrome.

Andrea Kimi Antonelli prevailed in a hard-fought race to become the first driver to reach 100 points this year. His lead over Mercedes teammate George Russell, cut to seven by the sprint earlier in the weekend, now stands at 20.

McLaren scored a double podium as Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri finished second and third. Russell’s fourth place nonetheless bolstered Mercedes’ advantage in the constructors’ standings, with Ferrari holding second ahead of McLaren.

Charles Leclerc’s afternoon turned on a chaotic late lap that dropped him from third to sixth at the flag. He was subsequently handed a 20-second time penalty, demoting him to eighth. Max Verstappen also received a five-second penalty, but it did not change his position.

The revised order promoted Lewis Hamilton to sixth and Alpine’s Franco Colapinto to seventh, adding two extra points to each driver’s tally. Colapinto now sits on seven points and Alpine rises to 23—surpassing its 2025 total by one point.

Williams completed a double-points haul with Carlos Sainz ninth and Alex Albon tenth at the end of the 57-lap contest.

With Miami in the books, the top of the drivers’ table reads: Antonelli on 100, Russell 80 and Leclerc 59. Norris and Hamilton are tied on 51, with Piastri at 43 and Verstappen at 26. The next group features Oliver Bearman (17), Pierre Gasly (16), Liam Lawson (10) and Colapinto (7), followed by Arvid Lindblad (4), Isack Hadjar (4) and Sainz (4). Gabriel Bortoleto has 2 points, while Esteban Ocon and Albon have 1 apiece.

In the constructors’ standings, Mercedes leads on 180 points from Ferrari on 110 and McLaren on 94. Red Bull holds fourth on 30, ahead of Alpine on 23, Haas on 18 and Racing Bulls on 14. Williams is on 5, Audi on 2, while Cadillac and Aston Martin are yet to score.

Elsewhere, Nico Hülkenberg, Valtteri Bottas, Sergio Pérez, Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll remain without points as the championship leaves Florida.

Attention now turns to the next round, where the battle between the Mercedes pair and the group behind—Ferrari, McLaren and Red Bull—will shape the early trajectory of both titles.
